Online piano
Press any letter key and the grand piano sounds. On a laptop the bottom row of keys is the lower octave and the top row the higher one; the black keys sit on the row above, just like a real piano. Hold Shift for the sustain pedal, and use the arrows to shift octaves so a small keyboard still reaches the whole piano.
If you own a MIDI keyboard or controller, connect it and press Enable MIDI. Velocity, the sustain pedal, pitch and mod wheels all come through. HitJam was built for this first; the laptop keys are the fallback for when your keyboard is not with you. It runs in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer. Safari does not support MIDI, so on a Mac use Chrome for that part.
The whole instrument runs inside the page. No download, no account, no ads on the instrument, and nothing you play leaves your computer.
